Ingredients
- 2 pounds Ground Beef
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 Colored Pepper
- 2 Onions
- 2 14 oz cans Kidney Beans
- 2 14 oz cans Diced Tomatoes
- 3 tablespoon Chili Powder
- 1 tablespoon Cumin
- Frank’s Red Hot
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Directions
- In a large kettle, brown the ground beef with garlic powder, salt, a pepper to taste.
- Chop colored pepper into 1/2 inch chunks.
- Dice both onions into 1/2 inch pieces.
- Add all of the colored pepper and 1/2 the chopped onion to the ground beef. Cook until softened.
- Add kidney beans (undrained) and diced tomatoes to kettle and combine with ground beef.
- Fold in chili powder and cumin.
- Add Frank’s Red Hot to taste (we recommend 10 splashes)
- Let simmer on medium-low heat for about 30 minutes.
- Serve over white rice topped with diced onions and shredded cheddar cheese
